About Alanna:
Since a young age Alanna has always shown a strong passion for horses. This passion drove her to pursue a challenging career working with horses. She has attended the University of Guelph and is currently completing a degree in Equine management. Alanna took some time off during her studies to further her equine education through experience. She traveled west to ride in the mountains and took on exciting challenges in her home town. For over 10 years, Alanna has spent much of her time observing and studying equine behaviour; this allows her to communicate her intentions across to the horse. She has an in depth knowledge about the industry and specializes in successful approaches to otherwise difficult situations.
Cascade Equine Services promotes horsemanship through horse and rider communication. The partnership between a a rider and a horse needs a solid foundation built on proper communication. With extensive knowledge on equine behavior we can develop partnerships that last a lifetime. An emphasis on groundwork will be used in every session to guide both horse and handler. Alanna focuses on traditional Vaquero techniques which promotes soft and easy movement of the horse and rider. She also uses techniques from both disciplines to create a well rounded arsenal for any roadblocks a horse/rider might encounter. Her love of horses drives her to share her knowledge, so everyone can experience the fulfillment that horses bring to life.
